Screening Visit – What to Know

Enrollment Status

Participation in a screening visit does not guarantee enrollment. Enrollment occurs only if eligibility criteria are met and the consent form is signed. We will guide you through each step of the process during your visit.

Please review these before your visit and bring the completed intake form with you.

Do not sign the Informed Consent yet. Please read it in advance; we will review it together at your screening visit and answer any questions before you decide whether to sign.

What to Bring

  • Photo ID
  • Completed Medical History / Intake Form

What to Expect

  • Check-in and brief orientation
  • Informed Consent discussion (Q&A)
  • Vital signs and lab work (as applicable)
  • Structured questionnaires with our staff to better understand your health and experiences
  • Review of medical history and current medications

Before you leave, our team will go over everything with you and answer any remaining questions.

How to Prepare

  • Wear loose clothing or a button-down shirt to make vital signs easier.
  • Arrive well-hydrated.
  • Allow about 4 hours for the visit; we’ll keep you updated on timing.

What happens after the screening visit?

After your screening visit, the research team will review your results and eligibility criteria. Enrollment only occurs if you qualify and choose to sign the consent form.

Can I sign the consent form ahead of time?

No. Please review the consent form before your visit, but do not sign it. We will go over it together during the screening visit, and you’ll have time to ask questions before making a decision.

How long will the visit take?

Please plan for about 4 hours. The length may vary depending on the specific assessments that day.

What if I decide not to continue?

Participation is always voluntary. You may choose to stop the process at any time without penalty.

Can I eat or drink before the visit?

Yes. You may eat and drink normally before the visit. Please arrive well-hydrated.

Will I be compensated for the screening visit?

Yes. Compensation is provided through a third-party vendor after you complete the visit and sign the payment consent form.

If any part of this information changes (time, procedures, or eligibility steps), we will notify you before your visit.
